The very second you bring your new puppy home. It's time to start, now what? Don't freak out, just put a towel or some blankets inside the crate along with some treats.

Now, it's time to introduce the crate to the puppy. Encourage her to go inside by placing some kibble or treats next to the door and some inside the kennel. Once she discovers them, praise her and praise her a lot. Always keep the crate a positive experience. Now that she has started to become comfortable being around the crate, it's time to start closing the door. This time put treats near the back of the crate and when she enters to get them, close the door for a second. Don't forget to praise her. Slowly increasing the time the door is closed.

Now that she is becoming comfortable with the door closed, start to walk away for 3-5 minutes.
